Students’ Autonomous Learning Activities outside the Classroom to Master English as a Foreign Language

The complexity of foreign language learning and its restricted time to learn in the classroom need proactive efforts from English students outside with full initiative effort. This study tended investigate what extent students’ autonomous activities master (four skills). applied a descriptive quantitative design. It was conducted at state university Majene, West Sulawesi, Indonesia academic year 2021/2022. population education second third years. There were 62 who participated this research. They selected by using convenience sampling technique. To gain data, research employed questionnaire as instrument which consists 16 items statements. then, analyzed employing statistics. Based on data analysis, it found that are still limited entertaining for them. Apart that, has not been their extra done independently become more proficient every skill. indicates passive learners. By knowing independent carried out classroom, lecturers expected be able design policies or teaching strategies guide so they can increase optimizing wealth available resources.
